How to record your annual assessment result

Once you have passed your assessment for the classes you test, you can now enter your annual assessment result on the MOT testing service. To do this follow the below steps:

STEP 1 – CLICK “YOUR PROFILE”

STEP 2 – Click “Annual Assessment Certificates”

STEP 3 – Click which group, group A (for class 1 & 2) or B (for class 3, 4, 5 & 7) to which your certificate relates

STEP 4 – Add certificate details and unique identifier number (the number can be found in the bottom right hand corner of your ABC Awards Certificate and should start with ‘PRMaa1-‘)

This is how DVSA checks it is an authentic certificate as the awarding bodies send DVSA a list of these numbers and dates taken to authenticate the numbers you enter.

This prevents fraud.

Click “Review Details”

STEP 5 – Click “Save Certificate” and keep a copy of your CPD plan, your CPD certificates and your annual exam in your MOT quality folder for DVSA to view when they carry out a site visit.

FINISH – If done correct the end screen should show your exam

You have to record your result and certificate number to inform DVSA you have completed your assessment.

You must keep a record of your training to show any DVSA staff who visit your vehicle testing station (VTS). You have to keep records for 5 years.
