You will be asked to provide personal information when joining any of our courses. The purpose of us processing this data is to provide optimum Education/Training to you.
The categories of data we process are:
- Personal data for the purposes of staff and self-employed team member management
- Personal data for the purposes of direct mail, email, and text messaging marketing
- Special category data including education/training records for the purposes of the delivery of qualifications/accreditations
- Special category data including personal records and details of criminal record checks for managing employees and contracted team members and students.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information from you when you register on a contact form or request form for our products and services. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the site, and information about how you interact with the site.
How we will use this information about you?
We collect information about you to process your information requests and communicate with you. And, if you agree, we will send emails about other services or products we offer. Premier MOT Training will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other companies outside of Premier MOT Training. We never pass your personal details to a third party unless we have a contract for them to process data on our behalf and will otherwise keep it confidential. If we intend to refer a Student/delegate to an awarding body or DVSA or to secondary awarding body such as the IMI we will gain the individual’s permission before the referral is made and the personal data is shared.
- Personal data is stored in the EU whether in digital or hard copy format
- Personal data is obtained when a candidate/delegate joins our training centre, when a student is referred to us by an awarding body as such we have permission to email and or provide a form of mailing system
The lawful basis for processing special category data such as student and employees’ personal data is:
- Processing is necessary for the purposes ensuring the delegate is provided with the right qualification/accreditation or training.
The lawful basis of processing personal data such as name, address, email or phone number is:
- Consent of the data subject
- Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject or to take steps to enter into a contract
Who is this data shared with?
As in our Awarded Centre guidelines laid out by the Awarding Bodies such as ABC Awards and Institute of Motor Industry we retain a candidates information in an online secure password protection system for up to 5 years for the safety and legality of our own company as well as a student/candidates.
If you choose to opt in for our email communications, we will send you information relating to Premier MOT Training services and affiliated products that might be of interest to you. We may also send you information in the form of updates that we think may be of interest to you. Once you have consented to receiving our newsletter, you can opt out at any time. You have the right to stop us from contacting you any further. You can choose to unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of our emails, or by contacting us we can remove your information from our list.
If you complete a feedback form on our site, all information will be kept anonymous. If you complete a form you are consenting us to use this feedback for marketing purposes by posting it on our social media pages, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. We will not put your name or any other personal details about you on our pages alongside the feedback. If you attend a course at one of our centres, and are willing to have a photograph taken of you once you have passed you course, we will ask your permission if we can publish this on our social media pages. If after you have given us permission to do this, you still have the right to contact us and request it is removed from our social media. If you do not want your feedback published online, you can contact us and request to remove this.
Access to your information
You have the right to request a copy of the information we have about you. If you want to know what information we hold about you, correct information or remove the information we have, please get in contact via the details below. The retention period for special data in a student/candidate records is a minimum of 5 years and may be longer for complex records in order to meet our legal requirements. The retention period for staff records is 6 years. The retention periods for other personal data is 2 years after it was last processed. Regarding payment information we will adhere to only store payment details for up to 12 months.
